The Krater
a RITHMS Movie, produced by Art Crime Project APS
Within the framework of the European project RITHMS (Research, Intelligence and Technology for Heritage and Market Security), a new animated short film has been produced by Art Crime Project APS.
The film gives voice to the Euphronios Krater, painted over 2,000 years ago. Through 2D and 3D animation, the ancient vase tells its own dramatic story: stolen, trafficked across the Atlantic, hidden in private collections, and exhibited in museums far from its homeland.
Written and directed by Alessandro Garilli, the short film sheds light on the dark networks of art trafficking, while transforming cultural heritage into a living storyteller through the language of animation.
